Will uplighting damage my tree?

No. We use LED fixtures that run cool, set them off the root flare, and mount canopy fixtures with hardware that expands as the tree grows so nothing cuts into the bark.

How many fixtures does one tree need?

A small ornamental usually takes one or two. A mature oak, ficus or sycamore typically wants three so the canopy lights evenly instead of throwing one hot face and two dark sides.

What about palm trees?

Palms want narrow-beam fixtures aimed straight up the trunk into the crown. One tight fixture per palm usually reads better than a wide wash.
